Born in 1997, Sherman Lee graduated from the University of Brighton with a Fine Art Sculpture degree in 2019. Currently living in London and Hong Kong.
Sherman's work often emphasizes the poetic yet gloomy atmosphere, the lack of colors in her practice indicates the perceived darkness of space and our inability to see the colors emitted by the universe. She also builds a concealed directional relationship between architecture through the misplacement and juxtaposition of space, void, and solid, thereby creating a space for the viewers to imagine beyond the work itself. It explores the spiritual dilemma of individuals nowadays. Through presenting the creative process in the form of materials, shapes, and installation, she is hoping to reflect and respond to the solitariness, alienation and helpless emotions of living in the chaotic world.
